23rd August 2014

After a successful first day of the John Spight Memorial, Crusaders went through 1st to play Devils in their quarter Final. The Kings lost their first game of the day to the London Knights 2 - 1 therefore went through 2nd to play GB Junior in their quarter final.

This meant that when both teams won their quarter final games they then had to play each other in the semi-final, meaning that only one of the Crusaders teams would make the Finals. The Kings put up a great fight but lost to the Crusaders 4 – 1.

Playing for 3rd and 4th position against Ash Avalanche the Kings refused to go down easy and only lost 4 -3.

The Crusaders however where in devastating form and won an action packed Final 5 – 3.

Both Teams Together

This was the 15th John Spight Tournament and was a great weekend’s hockey which I know that John would have been very proud of; this would have not been possible without the teams that entered. Thank you to all those teams, we hope that you all had as much fun this weekend as we did.
